All Doctoral degree students are required to complete a dissertation-HLTH 899 Doctoral Dissertation Research (12 credits).
This can be done using the traditional 5 chapter model or the manuscript model. All dissertation credits will be given an incomplete grade until the research is completed.

A: You may contact the Graduate Degrees Clearance Services at [email protected] you may visit 1113 Mitchell Building Q: How do I obtain a copy of the University of Maryland Thesis and Dissertation Style Guide?Nomination Process: Students must be nominated by the UMD department or program.Programs may nominate up to two students for the Semester Dissertation Fellowships.For comprehensive information on dissertation requirements, please see the BCH Ph D Program Guidelines and the UMD Graduate Catalog (available at Wylie Dissertation Fellowship is part of the Graduate School's Semester Dissertation Fellowship program.The student should enroll under the section number of his/her dissertation advisor.No student may formally propose a dissertation topic until advanced to candidacy.This program provides support to University of Maryland doctoral candidates who are in the latter stages of writing their dissertations.The Wylie is full‐time fellowship and awarded students can choose to use the fellowship in either Fall 2020 or Spring 2021.Grades for graduate students remain as part of the student's permanent record.Changes in previously recorded grades may be made if timely (within one semester) and if the original instructor certifies that an actual mistake was made in determining or recording the grade.
