She manipulates Macbeth to murder the former king, Duncan, so he can become king.
Their relationship begins to deteriorate as they both dedicate themselves to evil and is mutually destructive.
Macbeth comes to the conclusion that he must murder Duncan to fulfil this prophecy.
That which hath made them drunk hath made me bold: what hath quenched them hath given me fire.
She plots to aggressively manipulate Macbeth to commit the murder.
“Hie thee hither, that I pour my spirits in thine ear, and chastise with the valour of my tongue” In act 1 scene 7, Lady Macbeth encourages her husband to follow through with the murder as he is tormented by a guilty conscience for a crime that he has yet to commit.
From this moment on their relationship has changed.
Both are working with evil to commit the crime, this evil possesses them and this in turn changes their personalities.
