Layers Of The Atmosphere Essay

Geologists, geophysicists, and mathematicians show how coupled computer models can accurately recreate the conditions leading to the world's deadliest natural disasters of 2018, the Palu earthquake ...

Layers of Atmosphere are divided into five different layers according to temperature changes and altitude, which is Exosphere, Thermosphere, Mesosphere, Stratosphere, Troposphere. It can be polluted by some gases (such as carbon monoxide), smoke, and ash.

Its height varies from 18 km at the Equator to 8 km at the Poles.

Seventy-five percent of the atmosphere is found in this layer. Climate the is the average condition of the weather in any area from a long time period like, Sol. Climate is the average condition of the weather in a place over a long period of 25 years and so.

Let us find out more about layers of atmosphere and the importance of air. Usually, air is colorless, odorless, tasteless and it cannot be seen. It is a mixture of about 78% nitrogen, 21% oxygen, 0.9% argon, 0.04% carbon dioxide, and very small amounts of other gases. This pollution causes various problems including acid rain and global warming. The thermosphere is the layer of the Earth’s atmosphere directly above the mesosphere.

Before discussing Layers of Atmosphere in detail let us have a look at Importance of Air first. The outermost layer of the atmosphere is the exosphere and it fades in the space. It extends from mesopause and consists of two layers (a) Ionosphere and (b) Exosphere.

This portion of the atmosphere is ionized and contains a plasma which is referred to as the ionosphere.

It is in the stratosphere that incoming solar radiation creates the ozone layer.

As you read, note that we follow the same path that incoming solar radiation travels through the atmosphere to Earth's surface. The heterosphere is the outer atmosphere in terms of composition.

It begins at about 80 km (50 mi) altitude and extends outward to the transition to the exosphere and interplanetary space.

Earth's atmosphere is a unique reservoir of gases, the product of nearly 5 billion years of development.

It sustains us and protects us from hostile radiation and particles from the Sun and beyond-the atmosphere serves as an efficient filter.
