Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship
The Louisville Institute Dissertation Fellowship is not intended to replace any financial support that the doctoral student would otherwise receive from the student’s doctoral institution during the period of the Louisville grant.
If the doctoral institution chooses not to cover or waive the tuition, and withdraws its financial support because of the Louisville Fellowship, then the Louisville Institute will exercise its right to withdraw the Dissertation Fellowship.
Preference given to students engaged in research pertaining to North American Christianity, especially projects related to Institute mission priorities. Previous DF Fellowships DF applicants must be candidates for the Ph. These fellowships are intended to support the final year of dissertation writing.The Dissertation Fellowship (DF) programs offers up to ten ,000 grants to support the final year of Ph. Applicants may not submit applications to more than one Louisville Institute grant or fellowship program within the same grant year (June 1-May 31). Upload each application requirement in *format (preferred). The Louisville Institute also has an interest in strengthening the quality of theological school teaching. All documents must be submitted by the February 1 deadline.LI will pay travel and lodging expenses for this gathering.Please note that LI grantees may not simultaneously hold two grants or fellowships from Lilly Endowment-funded organizations that total more than ,000.All other fees charged are the responsibility of the incoming student.Please note that GSAS does not permit incoming students to receive their summer stipends during the summer prior to their first year of the Ph D program.The fellowship information provided here applies only to Arts and Sciences doctoral programs.Doctoral programs in the Schools of Architecture, Business, Engineering, Journalism, Nursing, Public Health, Social Work; the College of Physicians and Surgeons; and Teachers College are administered and funded through the dean’s office of each respective school.All departments provide a nine-month standard stipend, the level of which is established each spring for the following academic year.Natural Sciences departments may supplement the stipend and/or provide summer research appointments.
